Google Makes Earth Pro Available for Free

If you have previously used the free version of Google Earth, I have some good news for you. As of February 2015, Google made the Earth Pro available for free. The software used to cost $399 a year.

I had the free version of Google Earth installed for a long time, but I immediately uninstalled it as soon as I found out about the free availability of the Pro version. The free version of Google Earth has been deprecated as of December 15, 2014 anyway.

To uninstall Google Earth, go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall a program. Select Google Earth Plug-in in the list of installed programs and click on the Uninstall button.

Google Earth Pro has much more features than its previous free version. In a word it is awesome.

You can download Google Earth Pro here.

Alternatively you can download its Windows version via this direct link, too. The Mac version’s direct download link is here.

To install Google Earth Pro, simply double-click the downloaded executable file. The installation process is fast and straightforward — you just click Next, Next, Install, and Finish.

Once the installation is finished, launch Google Earth Pro and enter a username (any name you want) and this product key: GEPFREE.

And that’s it.
