A few days ago, the creators of the popular nRelate related content WordPress plugin announced that they will be closing shop as of the end of this year. They will no longer support their plugin and all users should delete their nRelate plugins by December 31, 2014.

For a lot of WordPress bloggers this means that they need to find a replacement plugin for displaying related content after their posts.

WordPress bloggers use a lot of different themes and plugins. Replacing a plugin that has worked well potentially means trouble.

Therefore, it is good to have a shortlist of plugins you can choose from. In case the first one doesn’t work out for you, simply uninstall that plugin and try the next one on the list.

Sexybookmarks / Shareaholic

Many bloggers use the Shareaholic plugin (previously known as Sexybookmarks) but don’t know that it has a related content capability.

Click on Shareaholic > App Manager in your WordPress Dashboard. In Shareaholic’s page, select where you would like to display your related content — below posts, below pages, below categories, and on your homepage.
