As you can see everything but the sequential read results are up considerably.
The drop in sequential read performance is actually caused by a hardware issue in all Samsung 840 EVO SSDs. After a certain time of using an 840 EVO disk, sequential read throughput drops to 250 megabytes per second on average.
The newer 850 series disks do not suffer from sequential read performance drops.
But if you are not about to upgrade your SSD to the newer one, you can still gain performance in sequential write, as well as random read and random write performance.
